Additional information: Adam Gorb was born in 1958 and read music at Cambridge University and later studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music with Paul Patterson.

He has written orchestral, chamber, choral and educational music which has been widely performed in the UK and abroad.His many works for wind ensemble include ‘Metropolis’, which won the Walter Beeler prize in the USA in 1994, ‘Awayday’ which has had over 100 performances since its premiere in 1996 and has been commercially recorded by the North Texas Wind Ensemble. A percussion concerto for Evelyn Glennie which was premiered in the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester in 1998.

More recently he was written Candlelight Procession, Eine Kleine Yiddishe Ragmusik, Scenes from an English Landscape and Parade of the Wooden Warriors all published byG & M Brand Publications.
