Don Gillis ist der Komponist und Arrangeur von vielseitig verwendbarer Musik. Seine musikalische Ausbildung erhielt er an der "High School of Music and Art" in New York City. Im Anschluß diplomierte er in Komposition und Musiktheorie an der "University of Michigan". Zusätzlich zu seiner Arbeit in der klassischen Tradition ist er auch mit populärer Musik beschäftigt. Herr Gillis ist der Musikdirektor der TV Show "Fraggle Rock" und er war auch als Komponist, Arrangeur und Dirigent für die Walt Disney TV's "Danger Bay" tätig. Er komponierte und arrangierte ebenfalls die Noten für zahlreiche Dokumentarfilme, TV Dramen und Werbungen. Seine Arbeit wurde von Canadian Brass auf vier Alben aufgenommen.

Don Gillis is a composer/arranger of unusual versatility. His formal music education began at the High School of Music and Art in New York City, followed by degrees in composition and music theory from the University of Michigan. In addition to his work in the classical tradition, he is equally adept in working with popular music. Mr. Gillis is musical director for the opular television show "Fraggle Rock", and was composer/arranger/conductor for Walt Disney Television's "Danger Bay". He has composed and arranged scores for numerous documentary films, television dramas and commercials. His work appears on four albums recorded by the Canadian Brass.
