Douglas Court ist in Toronto, Canada geboren wo er seine musikalische Ausbildung sehr früh in der "Salvation Army" erhielt. Später besuchte er dann die "University of Toronto", wo er bei Professor Stephen Chennette Trompete studierte. Dort schloß er mit dem "Bachelor of Music degree" ab. Er studierte ebenfalls das Fach Komposition an der "University of South Florida". Douglas Court arbeitete auch freischaffend als Trompetenspieler, wo er mit Gruppen wie dem "Canadian Opera Company Orchestra" auftrat. Als Mitglied der "Canadian Staff Band" war er als Kornettspieler 5 Jahre sehr intensiv auf Tournee. Seine derzeitige Tätigkeit ist die Position als "Divisional Music Director" in der "Salvation Army" in Florida. Seine Arbeit umfaßt das Dirigieren von Erwachsenen- sowie Jugendensembles, aber auch die Organisation des Sommermusikprogrammes. Er veröffentlichte jeweils Instrumental- und Vokalarbeiten.

Douglas Court is a native of Toronto, Canada where he received his early musical training in The Salvation Army. His formal training was received at the University of Toronto where he was a trumpet student of professor Stephen Chennette and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree. Douglas has also studied composition at the University of South Florida. Before moving to his present position Douglas worked as a freelance trumpet player in the Toronto area performing with groups such as the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra. He was also a member of the cornet section of the Canadian Staff Band for five years and toured extensively with this group. Douglas' present position is that of Divisional Music Director for The Salvation Army in the State of Florida. This includes conducting both adult and youth ensembles as well as organizing a summer music program. Douglas has both instrumental and vocal works published by The Salvation Army.
