William Himes ist sehr bekannt für seine Kompositionen und Arrangements und mehr als 70 Publikationen gehen auf sein Konto. Diese und viele Manuskripte, die vor der Verlegung stehen, werden ständig international gesandt und aufgenommen. William Himes erhielt die "Bachelor" und "Master of Music degree" von der Universität Michigan. Fünf Jahre lehrte er Instrumentalmusik in den öffentlichen Schulen von Flint, Michigan. Er war auch Ausbildner von tiefen Brassinstrumenten an der University of Michigan-Flint. Er ist weiterhin als Dirigent, Komponist, Ausbildner und Euphoniumsolist sehr gefragt und er ist in den Vereinigten Staaten, Canada, Australien, Neuseeland, Schweden, Dänemark, Norwegen und dem Vereinigten Königreich aufgetreten. Seit 1977 ist Herr Himes als Musikdirektor des "Salvation Army's Central Territory" tätig. In dieser Kapazität ist er auch als Dirigent der "Chicago Staff Band" aktiv. Diese Band ist international anerkannt und hat schon viele Tourneen in Länder sowie Panama, Mexico, Chile, Canada, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, England und Australien unternommen.

William Himes is well known for his compositions and arrangements. He has more than seventy publications to his credit. These, along with numerous manuscripts awaiting publication, are continually featured on international broadcasts and recordings. Mr. Himes earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Michigan. For five years he tought instrumental music in the public schools of Flint, Michigan, where he was also adjunct lecturer in low brass at the University of Michigan-Flint. Mr. Himes continues to be in demand as conductor, composer, lecturer, clinician and euphonium soloist and has appeared throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom. Since 1977, Mr. Himes has been music director of the Salvation Army's Central Territory, which encompasses the eleven midwestern states. In this capacity he is also conductor of the Chicago Staff Band, an internationally recognized ensemble which he has led on succesful tours of Panama, Mexico, Chile, Canada, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, England and Australia.
