Sam Rydberg (1885-1956) was the most important composer of marches in Sweden and he wrote over 80 marches. He played Eb-Cornet and Cello and was musical director for the band at The Royal Swedish Engineering Corps in Stockholm. After his retirement he worked as a musician and as music-librarian at The Swedish Radio.
