Anthony Joseph Iannaccone wurde in Brooklyn, New York am 14. Oktober 1943 geboren. Er begann schon früh Violine, Piano und Theorie zu lernen und später machte er an der "Manhattan School of Music" und der "Eastman School of Music" seinen Abschluß. Er nahm bei Vittorio Giannini, David Diamond und Aaron Copland zusätzlich Privatunterricht. Nach einer kurzen Unterrichtstätigkeit in Manhattan, wurde er an der "Eastern Michigan University" zum Professor bestellt, wo er ein elektronisches Musikstudio etablierte. Iannaccone komponierte Musik für Gesang, Kammermusikgruppen und Orchester mit Band, doch einige seiner besten Werke sind für die Konzertband. 1988 gewann er den "National Band Association's annual composition contest". Über ein Dutzend Arbeiten sind für Band, darunter "After a Gentle Rain", "Images of Song and Dance".

Anthony Joseph Iannaccone was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 14, 1943. He began the study of Violin, piano, and theory at an early age and later graduated from the Manhattan School of Music and the Eastman School of Music. He studied privately with Vittorio Giannini, David Diamond, and Aaron Copland. After teaching briefly at Manhattan, he was appointed Professor at Eastern Michigan University, where he established an electronic music studio. Iannaccone has composed music for voice, chamber groups, and orchestra with tape, but some of his best music is for concert band. In 1988 he won the National Band Association's annual composition contest with "Apparitions". He has over a dozen works for band. Others include "After a Gentle Rain", "Images of Song and Dance", a.s.o.
