Additional information: Mit Oceanscapes ist Rob Romeyn ein bemerkenswertes Erstlingswerk gelungen. Er verarbeitet kunstvoll ein Choralthema, das sehr stark an “I Vow To Thee My Country”, an das Jupiterthema aus der Planeten-Suite von Gustav Holst erinnert. Im pulsierenden 6/8 Rhythmus spielt er mit Abwandlungen dieses Themas auch in einem schnelleren Teil, um wieder zurück zu finden zu den ruhigen Klängen und Harmonien aus dem Anfangsteil.
