Additional information: Paule Maurice composed Tableaux de Provence for saxophone and orchestra between the years 1954 to 1959 and dedicated the piece to her friend Marcel Mule. It is a standard among the classical literature for the instrument. With tricky passages, interesting harmonies, and tough accidentals every soloist is sure to be challenged by this great work. Tableaux de Provence is a programmatic work and the piece has five movements.
