Gert Lueken wurde 1954 geboren und studierte Klarinette, Klavier und Musikpädagogik in Bremen. Er war lange in verschiedenen Jazz- und Rockbands tätig und sechs Jahre als Schauspielmusiker am Bremer Theater. Er ist Lehrkraft an den Musikschulen in Rotenburg und Verden. Darüber hinaus ist er als Kammermusiker, Chorleiter und Mitglied einer Soul-Band aktiv.

Gert Lueken was born in 1954. He studied piano, clarinet, and music education in Bremen. For a number of years he was a member of various jazz and rock bands, and for six years worked as a theater musician at Bremen's playhouse. At present he teaches at the music schools in Rotenburg an Verden, and in addition, performs chamber music, leads a chorus, and is a member of a soul band.
