Maria Linnemann wurde 1947 in Amsterdam geboren, wuchs aber in England auf. Von 1966 bis 1970 studierte sie an der Royal Academy of Music in London Klavier, Geige und Dirigieren. Seit 1971 lebt sie in Deutschland, wo sie als Musikpädagogin tätig ist. Sie schrieb Musicals, Musik für Puppentheater, Kompositionen für Gitarre, sowie mehr als hundert Lieder aller Art.

Maria Linnemann was born in Amsterdam in 1947 and grew up in England. She attended the Royal Academy of Music in London from 1966 to 1970, studying piano, violin and conducting. Since 1971 she has been living in Germany, where she works in music pedagogy. She has written musicals, music for puppet theatre, guitar pieces and more than 100 songs of all kinds.
