Der argentinische Komponist und Gitarrist Máximo Diego Pujo, geboren 1957, hat zu verschiedenen Zeiten bei Gaspar Navarro, Alfredo Vicente Gascon und Horacio Ceballos Gitarre studiert, und außerdem an mehreren Kursen teilgenommen, geleitet von Eduardo Castanera, Abel Carlevaro, Miguel Girollet und Lilian Ardissone. Er studierte gleichzeitig Komposition und Interpretation bei Wolf Scheib, Leonidas Arnedo und Antonio de Raco. Von 1977 bis 1982 erhielt er drei Erste Preise für Kompositionen und für Interpretation. In seiner Heimat trat er in zahlreichen Konzerten als Solist oder in Kammermusik auf, viele seiner Werke wurden oft von anderen Gitarristen gespielt (auch die Fünf Präludien).

The Argentinian guitarist/composer Máximo Diego Pujol, born in 1957, has at different times studied the guitar with Gaspar Navarro, Alfredo Vicente Gascon, and Horacio Ceballos in addition to participating in courses directed by Eduardo Castanera, Abel Carlevaro, Miguel Girollet and Lilian Ardissone. His parallel studies in composition and interpretation were with Wolf Scheib, Leonidas Arnedo and Antonio De Raco. Between 1977 and 1982 his successes in competitions included three First Prizes, embracing both composition and performance. He has given numerous recitals, both as a soloist and in chamber music, in his own country, and several of his works have been performed many times including the Cinco Preludios (Five Preludes) by other guitarists.
