Joseph Compello machte seinen Abschluß in Musikausbildung am "Peabody Conservatory" und an der "Towson State University", wo er Posaune studierte. Joseph Compello, a native of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, holds degrees in music education from the "Peabody Conservatory" and "Towson University". His background as an instrumental music teacher in Maryland includes 21 years as a beginning band instructor. A regular contributor to the "Sounds Spectacular Band Series" since 1993, his compositions for young bands are consistently among the top sellers in the catalogue. Compello also writes for the MSB Publishing Company whose catalogue includes his work for string orchestra. His published works have been featured at the "U.S. Navy Band's Clinic for New Music" and the "Mid-West International Band and Orchestra Clinic". A professional trombonist and euphonium player, Compello has performed with ensembles ranging from the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey's Circus to the Baltimore Opera Company.
