Franklin Haspiel war professioneller Jazztrompeter, Komponist, Bandleiter und Ratgeber für Brassinstrumente in der St. Louis Gegend für mehr als 40 Jahre. Die letzten 32 Jahre, lehrte er in allen Schwierigkeitsstufen Instrumentalmusik. 1985 erhielt er den jährlichen Preis vom "Missouri chapter of the International Association of Jazz Educators" für die Organisation des Jazz Festivals in St. Louis. Herr Haspiel machte seinen Abschluß an der "Washington University" in St. Louis, wo er den "B.A." und "M.A." mit Schwerpunkt Musikausbildung und Komposition erhielt. Zur Zeit arbeitet er an seiner vielseitigen Erfahrung, um Jazz für die jungen Spieler zu komponieren.

Franklin Haspiel has been a professional jazz trumpeter, composer, band leader and instructor of brass instruments in the St. Louis area for over 50 years. For 33 years he taught all levels of instrumental music (band and orchestra), from elementary through high school, in the Pattonville School District, St. Louis County. In 1985 Haspiel received the annual award from the Missouri Chapter of the International Association of Jazz Educators for instituting and managing the St. Louis Suburban Jazz Festival for 12 years. Prior to this period he coordinated and directed the St. Louis All-Suburban High School Band for 13 years. Mr. Haspiel is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he received both B.A. and M.A. degrees with emphasis on Music Education and Composition. At the present he is drawing on his varied experience to create music for young players.
