Stephan Jaeggi galt schlichtweg als der Blasmusikkönig in der Schweiz. Er war der erste Schweizer Dirigent der Stadtmusik Bern, ein Erneuerer im instrumentieren, ein sehr erfolgreicher Dirigent sowie ein allseits respektierter Lehrer und Komponist/Bearbeiter. Sein Schaffen gilt noch heute als beispielhaft.

Stephan Jaeggi has been referred to as the Band King of Switzerland. He was the first Swiss-born conductor of the Bern Municipal Band, an innovator in instrumentation, a highly succesful conductor, a respected music teacher and a composer/arranger whose band works are still used as models.
