Harri Mäntynen studierte am "Conservatory of Central Finland" und an der "University of Jyväskylä". Sein Hauptinstrument ist die Posaune, aber auch die Tuba, wobei er den Jazz bevorzugt. Zurzeit spielt er gerade im "Turku Philharmonic Orchestra" die Bassposaune.
