Pierra La Plante machte seine "B.M." und "M.M." Diplome an der "University of Wisconsin" in Madison. Von französisch-kanadischer Abstammung, unterrrichtete er alle Schwierigkeitsstufen der Band- und Vokalmusik in den öffentlichen Schulen in Wisconsin. His published works include arrangements and transcriptions for band, string orchestra, bassoon, and choral settings of Wisconsin folksongs.
