Brian Hogg, geboren in England 1953, emigrierte 1964 nach Australien. Als aktiver Musiker, Komponist und Dirigent ist er in vielen musikalischen Organisationen ganz Australiens integriert. Unter anderem in der "Melbourne Staff Band of the Salvation Army" sowie der "Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association". Seine Arbeiten für die Brassband wurden in England, den Vereinigten Staaten, Canada, Neuseeland, Schweden und Australien aufgeführt und aufgenommen. Ihm wurde zweimal bereits der "ABODA Composer of the Year award" verliehen. (1986 für das Stück "March, Theme, and Scherzo", und 1989 für "Kelly") Derzeit arbeitet er als Leiter der Brassstudien an der "Yarra Valley Anglican School" in Ringwood, Victoria. Zu seinen Werken für Konzertband zählen "The New Anzacs", "The Stone Guest" und "Fanfare and Processional".

Brian Hogg, born in England in 1953, emigrated to Australia in 1964. As an active performing musician, composer, and conductor, Hogg has been involved with a number of musical organizations throughout Australia, including the Melbourne Staff Band of the Salvation Army and the Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association. His works for brass band have been performed and recorded in England, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, and Australia. Hogg has also won the "ABODA Composer of the Year award" twice (in 1986 for "March, Theme, and Scherzo", and in 1989 for "Kelly"). Currently the head of brass studies at Yarra Valley Anglican School in Ringwood, Victoria, his other works for concert band include "The New Anzacs", "The Stone Guest", and "Fanfare and Processional".
