Domenico Mancinelli wurde in Italien rund um das Jahr 1750 geboren. Er reiste von Italien nach Paris und später ließ er sich in London nieder. Er schrieb eine größere Anzahl von Stücken eher für die "moderne" Flöte als für die Blockflöte, wie wir sie von früher kennen. Viel von seiner Musik war für musikalische Amateure gedacht und wurde in einfachem Stil geschrieben.

Domenico Mancinelli was born in Italy around 1750. He travelled from Italy to Paris, France, later settling in London. He wrote a large amount of music for the "modern" flute or the flute as we know it today, rather than the earlier recorder. Much of Mancinelli's music was written for musical amateurs and was composed in an easy style.
