Masaru Kawasaki hat sich in Japan mit seiner zahlreichen Musik für Oper, Solo und Ensemble einen großen Namen gemacht. Zusätzlich betätigte er sich auch noch als Autor und Dirigent. Seine musikalische Ausbildung erhielt er an der "Tokyo Academy of Music", wo er auch bald die "Tokyo Symphonic Band" leitete. Heute arbeitet er als Kompositionsprofessor am "Tokoha College".
