Sergiu Natra wurde in Rumänien geboren und er studierte unter Leon Klepper am Konservatorium in Bukarest. 1961 emigrierte er dann nach Israel, wo er als Musiklehrer am "Rubin Academy of Music" in Tel-Aviv aktiv tätig war. Seit 1976 arbeitet er als Musikprofessor an der dortigen Universität.

Sergiu Natra, a Romanian-born composer who studied with Leon Klepper at the conservatory in Bucharest, and emigrated to Israel in 1961, became active as a music teacher at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel-Aviv. Since 1976 he has been professor of music at the university there.
