Arthur Davenport ist ein eher unbekannter Komponist, dafür aber ein umso angesehener Musikerzieher, der sich ganz der Musikausbildung in den High-Schools verschiedener Gebiete verschrieben hat. 1925 reiste er mit der Band Sousas als Tubaspieler. Im Jahr 1926 wurde er dann Direktor der Musikabteilung und Bandleader am "Aliquippa School System". Er komponierte einige Märsche.

Arthur Davenport, a relatively unknown composer but a highly regarded music educator, devoted his music career to high school bands in various areas. In 1925, he toured with Sousa's Band as a tubist. In 1926 he became head of the music department and bandmaster of the Aliquippa School System. Composer of numerous marches.
