Additional information: „A Longford Legend" op.58 entstand 1996 als Auftragswerk der Normal Community West High School Band in Normal (Illinois, USA). Das Werk basiert auf drei Gedichte, die der Komponist Robert Sheldon in einer Sammlung irischer Balladen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert fand. Die Musik die Sheldon dafür schrieb soll an die großen Komponisten wie Grainger, Holst und Vaughan Williams erinnern. Robert Sheldon hat mit diesem Konzertwerk einen wertvollen Beitrag für sinfonische Bläsermusik geleistet. Die einzelnen Sätze werden bezeichnet als:
