Additional information: Zu dieser im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes zauberhaften Ouvertüre ließ sich der Komponist von der herrlichen Landschaft in Vorarlberg und der Lebensfreude und Traditionen der dort lebenden Menschen inspirieren. Im ersten Teil des Stückes herrscht fröhliche Aufbruchstimmung, die zu einem beschaulichen Spaziergang auf verschneiten Straßen führt. Der wiederum schnellere Schluss beschreibt ein rauschendes Fest und zündet ein Feuerwerk der Unbeschwertheit, dem sich auf "magische" Weise niemand entziehen kann!
