Additional information: Nahr-Al-Alwaan (frei übersetzt: Fluss der Farben) beschreibt den Lauf eines Flusses. Er entsteht aus Regentropfen und Schneeflocken in den Bergen. Verschiedene kleine Bäche münden in den Fluss. Dieser setzt seinen Lauf fort und fließt durch orientalische und westliche Länder. Die Mischung von orientalischer und westlicher Musik wird extra in der Orchesterbesetzung ausgedrückt. Neben dem Sinfonischen Blasorchester spielen gewisse orientalische Musikinstrumente wie Darbuka und Kanun eine wichtige Rolle.
