Additional information: A Final Fling wurde fu¨r David Childs geschrieben, fu¨r eine CD mit einem keltischen Thema, die 2007 herauskam. "A Final Fling" bedeutet soviel wie eine letzte, schnelle Anstrengung und bot sich damit als idealer Titel fu¨r eine Zugabe an; ein Fling ist außerdem ein schottischer Tanz, was sich wiederum gut in das keltische Thema einfu¨gt, wenn das Stu¨ck auch einen eher irischen Charakter hat. Das fröhliche Stu¨ck bietet eine gute Gelegenheit, das Euphonium ins Rampenlicht zu ru¨cken.
