Additional information: Die Oper Der Barbier von Sevilla war bei ihrer Premiere ein verheerender Misserfolg fu¨r Rossini und fand erst nach Austausch der Ouvertu¨re den Beifall des Publikums. Seither wird die Oper auf der ganzen Welt gespielt. Franco Cesarini bearbeitete die in mehreren Versionen existierende zweite Ouvertu¨re, in der das beru¨hmte Rossini-Crescendo natu¨rlich nicht fehlen darf, fu¨r Blasorchester.
