Additional information: Karl King’s "Gallant Zouaves" is a classic military-styled march penned during his early days as a circus bandmaster. Bright, martial melodies are followed by a regimental "trumpet and drum" trio, subsequently embellished by a woodwind countermelody and then a ponderous bass line, before ending with a rousing final strain. This King masterpiece will keep toes tapping throughout the audience, and be a favorite march to perform for years to come. Outstanding!
