'Messiah' (HWV 56) is an English-language oratorio composed in 1741 by George Friedrich Händel. After an initially modest public reception, the oratorio gained in popularity, eventually becoming one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music. The 2nd part of the oratorio covers Christ's passion, his death and God's glory which is summarized in the famous  'Hallelujah'. 
This transcription for Choir and Symphonic Band is a transposition from the original key to C-Major.
